Projects
On The Bandwagon is a podcast about central New York's biggest fandoms – and their most obsessed fans. As a member of its production team and editor of "Episode 3: Family on the Record," I researched the vinyl revival and met some of Syracuse's most devoted vinyl fans. I also had the opportunity to write my first-ever podcast script and collaborate with my team to produce visually-driven multimedia to go with it.
This project is a navigable VR experience that I coded using 360° images and archival materials. The goal was to create a fun and innovative way to tell the story of Jabberwocky, a famous nightclub at Syracuse University from 1969 to 1985. The building was demolished earlier this year, and I realized that most SU students were unfamiliar with this lost piece of campus history. So, I put my thinking cap on, reported, researched, and coded to create this VR storytelling experience. (View it here)
This magazine mock-up is a project I designed using Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. I created the concept for this magazine using inspiration from my favorite travel magazines—like Condé Nast Traveler—except I focused on showcasing my birthplace, Guatemala. I also created a responsive web design for this mock-up publication using Figma (available here). This magazine is only meant to demonstrate my graphic design experience; the writing (other than headlines and subheads) is done by ChatGPT.
